Who needs long-term care?

Long term care is needed when you have a chronic illness or disability that requires assistance in everyday activities. Those with medical conditions, such as Alzheimer's disease or dementia, would require more than just the medical care they receive when visiting the doctor.

Individuals over the age of 65 will require some form of long-term care services during their lifetime. Whether it's a relative who comes over once a week to help with chores or a full-time caregiver needed around the clock, some form of long-term care will be needed as we get older.
